Mid Season Recovery
Over thinking, under thinking,
over reacting, under reacting and just plain old mechanical failures
have created a somewhat ho-hum season. Then we got to Mason Dixon for race
6 of the Allstars
series. Jay Zolko got "The Duck" and himself dialed in and easily got the
win. This launched Jay up
into contention for the number one spot. Last year at U.S. 13 Ed Youmans
left FE parts all over
the track. He pieced the motor back together just in time for this years
Allstars race at U.S. 13.
This time EZ Ed left nothing but losers behind.
After several weeks off we
returned to action at MIR for the Ford Fever Classic. As always there
was was some incredible Super Stock Ford action keeping the spectators on their
feet. Top Honors
for the event went to Steve McBlane and runner-up honors went to Paul Hillier.
Although not a part
of the elimination action Dick Estevez with the "Daddy Warbucks" Falcon to
put on a show. Jay
Zolko added "The Duck" into the package. Dick and Jay had the crowd
cheering with their "John
Force" style burnouts and lightning fast passes.

York Reunion at the Expo Center
July 9 & 10
The show looked great on the
inside of the building. Downpours and a conflicting show in
Carlisle kept the usual few hundred outside display cars away.

York Reunion at Beaver Springs Dragway
July 11
Not a lot to report here.
The T-bolt, '64 Nicholson Comet sedan and Shazaam are all on the disabled list.
Frank sidelined Dearborn Thunder as he was out of town. This left Jay in
"The Duck" to carry the team.
Jay made us proud into the quarter finals when the rear gave out. Our
friend from the Allstars series
and 2009 points champion, John Warehime, took the win light in the finals.

Test & tune at Beaver the day of the
Numidia rain out
The good news is that we got a few kinks worked
out! The bad news... Something just wasn't
right with the T-bolt. Eddie shut it down early, ran a 9.55 at just over
100mph.
Word from "The Wiz"..... the car will be down for quite a while.

What's new for

facelift thanks to lucas Oil
The unveiling was at Motorama
2010 in Harrisburg PA

The T- Bolt
really can't top this wheel
stand but we can't wait till we see what she'll do
when the kinks are ironed out. The car is in the low 9's now, how
low can it go?
Frank Pellegrini ended the season with an 8.32 out of a tired motor. what will the new one turn?
Ed Youmans is reassembling his blown FE. What might the he have up his sleeve this year?
Jay Zolko is always full of surprises. Consistent when he wants to be but when he turns on the heat.....
Bob Fort got all he could out of that old shattered Mopar block. The new one is tougher ... how tough?
Fast Fred Henderson's FE swollowed a valve at the end of the season. How much better did he fix it?
The season opener,
June 6,
at Englishtown
will be interesting to say the least.
